For Youth

The 1000 Weeks of Summer program is designed to empower youth to engage in meaningful, responsible outdoor adventure. We cater our trips to a wide variety of skill levels and areas of interest so you're sure to find your place. For youth, there are several ways to get involved:

Be a shaker

These are the youth leaders that have been on our trips before and have significant outdoor experience. Some are rafting guides, Leave No Trace Trainers, or are scuba-certified. Others are moutaineers, rock climbers, or backpackers. All of the expeditions this summer will be run by one or more shakers. We're still looking for people who are up the challenge of leading small groups in the outdoors.

Be a participant

New to the whole outdoor thing? Been on some trips before and want to take your adventure to the next level? Then you've come to the right place! Our trips are run by skilled adult volunteers and youth that will help you step outside your comfort zone and jump right into adventure. Explore some of the most beautiful areas of the Northwest and experience some of the finest ourdoor recreation in the country. You'll get to meet and work with new people to overcome challenges in a supportive environment. People who go on our trips come back more skilled and more confident individual.
