Who We Are

Cascade Leadership Challenge is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing leadership and outdoor adventure opportunities to youth ages 14-20. CLC empowers its members to develop trust, overcome challenges in an outdoor setting, and gain the skills to succeed in the real world.

Young people are naturally curious and social. To these qualities we add skills, vision and leadership. While building confidence and experience, our members broaden their perspectives and challenge their own preconcieved notions about the world around them. By teaching teamwork, tolerance, and compassion, we are breaking down the social barriers that keep too many of us apart. By doing so, we are empowering youth to organize locally and engage globally.

Cascade Challenge is the charter organization for three Venturing crews: Crew 13 in Kent and Crews 310 and 502 in Ballard. It is also organizing the 1000 Weeks of Summer initiative to bring outdoor adventure to youth in the greater-Seattle area.  For more information on these exciting and diverse programs, please see the tabs to your right.

CLC is a proud partner of Scoutreach and Venturing BSA. Click on an icon and learn more.
